We are currently looking for a Java Tech Lead for a permanent assignment located in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Working within a global Agile team, our client is FORTUNE 500 company working on global projects in over 100 countries within the financial industry. You will be in close collaboration with a number of different business units, architects and product teams working on many projects with the bigger picture in mind.

The team in Bratislava consists of experts in the field including Senior Developers, Junior Developers, Product Owners, Solution Architects and the typical Software Development and Testing agile/scrum teams and the aforementioned globally distributed teams.

They work with very interesting technologies / partners such as testing robots, cloud solutions, microservices, big data, Kubernetes or Artificial Intelligence. Their tech stack includes: Java 11, SpringBoot 2 (Spring 5) for microservices, Spring Tooling – Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Integration, Git, JUnit/Mockito, Maven, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, Cloud Solutions, IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, Confluence & JIRA for collaboration.

Required Experience: 

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Java, Java 8 / 11 preferable
• Extensive experience with Spring
• Unit Testing ability
• Maven and/or Gradle and/or other Automation tooling.
• HTTP
• Code Versioning
• Microservices experience

Nice to haves: 

• SpringBoot
• Knowledge of Microservices
• Docker / Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms
